KushiKid is built differently. We are designed around Holistic Development, habits, routines, and real-world outcomes, not screen time or data collection. Every decision, including how we handle data, follows this principle.

• Children who use the KushiKid device under parental supervision.
Children do not independently create accounts. All activity is managed through a parent or guardian account.

8. How Voice and Interactions Work
KushiKid uses cloud-based processing to enable voice interactions and system responses. When your child interacts with the device, some data is securely processed in the cloud. However, we design this system with strict safeguards:

• Raw audio is not stored long-term or used for profiling
Voice data is never used for advertising or external tracking. Most importantly, KushiKid does not use wake-word or always-on listening. All interactions happen through a Push-to-Talk (PTT) mechanism, meaning the device only listens when you or your child actively initiates it.

We use data only to operate and improve the KushiKid experience. This includes running daily routines, delivering reminders, providing feedback and rewards, and showing progress insights to parents. We may also use anonymized, aggregated data to improve the system overall.

KushiKid is not just a product — it is a system guided by clear design principles.
We did not adopt addictive design patterns such as infinite scrolling or variable reward loops. Instead, we focus on positive and repetitive reinforcement, encouraging behaviour through recognition and structured progress.
We also do not create behavioural or psychological profiles of children. The system supports habit formation but does not attempt to predict or manipulate a child’s behaviour. The experience is intentionally designed to reduce screen dependency and encourage real-world action.
11. Parent Control and Ownership
Parents are always in control of the KushiKid experience. You define your child’s routines, goals, rewards, and system settings. You can enable or disable features, control notifications, and manage participation in features like KushiCircle. You also have full rights over your data, including the ability to access, correct, delete, or download your child’s information.
You own the data; we only use it to serve you.
12. Community and Social Safety (KushiCircle)
KushiCircle is designed to be safe and controlled. Parents choose whether to participate. There is no direct communication or messaging between children, and no unsupervised interaction. All events shared within the community is reviewed by us. This ensures that the community remains a positive and controlled environment.
13. Content Safety (KushiFM)
KushiFM provides curated, child-safe audio content. There is no open internet access, and all content is reviewed to ensure it is appropriate and sometimes aligned with developmental goals. The focus is on meaningful engagement, stories, learning, and emotional development rather than passive consumption.
14. Data Sharing
We may engage trusted third-party service providers, including cloud hosting, analytics, payment processing, and voice-processing partners, to support the operation of KushiKid. Such providers process personal data only on our instructions and are contractually required to maintain appropriate security and confidentiality standards.
We may also disclose personal data where required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request.
15. How Long We Keep Data
We retain data only as long as necessary. As long as your account is active, your data is available to support your experience. If you choose to close your account, you and your child’s data will be deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (such as for billing records).
